No, I think it looks ridiculous because it's so big....and so do the rings the baseball team got for the natty title. Too damn gaudy.
Also, to get rings for anything less than a conference title is unnecessary.

We did win a conference title, they somehow gave it to a team we beat. I think the rings look big in that closeup. I doubt they would look so big on the big canned ham-like hands of Devin Taylor or whoever.
I don't think anyone is going to wear these rings. They are just going to display them anyway.

I like the rings. I think in today's world of Athletes this will say a lot. What recruit wouldn't want a ring like this. Great Idea by Spurrier this is a huge milestone and the players will remember forever.

The rings are nice. The University should celebrate history in my opinion. It takes nothing away from future accomplishments. Ten years ago we would have begged for an 11 win season and would have chipped in to buy the rings if it were guaranteed. I hope we go on to bigger and better things. The possibility of greater success is there but we can't take for granted the accomplishment of last years team.

Comparing sec and acc is dumb...so I'm not downplaying yalls....
But Dabo pisses me off so badly when he calls our 2009 Atlantic representation in the acc champ game a "championship"
I guess you can win the acc atlantic or sec east "title".
Did they get rings for winning the sec east?
5-0 vs east for spurrier is big deal. Regardless of. How good the west is...going undefeated vs the east will always be a huge deal to sos. Add winning at knoxville, at athens, clemson for 3rd straight, 2nd over UF...
It might be Spurriers best ever year in Columbia, and if I was a fan...the ring would symbolize his tenure at carolina more so than 11 wins. 2 in row vs all those teams in east...perfect against east and 3rd row vs clemson capped by dominating bowl win.
Pretty damn good, and if it best spurrier ever does..u will be glad they did rings.

Spurrier was wearing the ring during his interview with ESPN - the ring is Huge!
Call it a reward - or a motivator - or an incentive...when the Gamecocks win the SEC I wouldn't be surprised in the least if Spurrier designs an SEC Title Belt on par with the world wrestling federation championship belts.
