I love to see the competition in the weight room and in the indoor practice facility. This creates toughness and bonding. I think we are in good hands with Coach Connelly. No matter what you do in the weight room and drills, it must be specific to what you are trying to accomplish and transfer to Saturday afternoon. No one can deny the toughness of our defense. I am concerned with the overall toughness of the offensive line. We will not be our best offensively until we can run the ball inside against all SEC opponents. I don't call for 3 yards and a cloud of dust. I ask that when the time comes to knock somebody off the ball to get a first down, to score inside the ten, to maintain possession late in a game, we can gash people. The bad news is that we haven't been able to do this consistently. The good news is we have the best athletes on the OL we have ever had. Potential means you haven't done it yet. SE has his work cut out for him. Smart money says he gets it done.
