$64.95 to be transported back to my childhood...

  • Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby the Brain Heenan were the best broadcast combo IMO. Wonder if Vince McMahon will ever get behind the mike again?

18 second title match, Vince finds a way to piss off the fans lolol

Trips is in charge, not Vince.

That said, I don't really care...I had no desire for that match to go more than 2 minutes.

PS Sheamus may be the only person in America whiter than me.

Maybe if the break out Chief Wahoo McDaniel, Dusty Rhodes "The American Dream", Sargent Slaughter, Jimmy "The Boogie Woogie Man" Valiant and The Nature Boy it might be worth it....

Don't forget about Magnum TA, or Kabuke. Kabuke would spit that red stuff in your eyes, and you were done. It was magic blinding juice. Illegal in 32 states.

Thunderbolt Patterson, Abdullah the Butcher, Rock and Roll Express, Midnight Express, The Road Warriors, Black Jack Mulligan, Ivan and Nakita Kruschev, Rick Rude, and Bobby Valentine are a few from my days of watching as a child in the early to mid 80's.

Of course, most wrestlers are dead before the age of 50.

  • Reading this thread brings back a ton of memories and I wish I was somewhere watching this.

Old Arn Anderson, Rick Flair and the 4 Horseman. Hacksaw Jim Dugen. Old Sting, not the new crazy Sting. Ron Simmons.

Wish I had paid more attention to what was going past few weeks I would have ordered this tonight and watched it.

I was at the pay per view they had in charleston about 10+ years back when Sting first ever dropped from the rafters and it was one of the craziest events I have ever seen . They put on a helluva show that's for sure tonight should be no different

Lol wow! I remember this, was there also. Definitely a really fun time. Only one I've ever been to and probably always will be.

The HOF induction ceremonies comes on tonight at 8 before Raw on USA.....should be a good watch.

BTW....last nights Main Event sucked.....those guys are great entertainers but they are very poor in ring performers.

  • Johnny Weaver was my favorite back in the day. His signature move was the sleeper and I can tell you for a fact that bad boy works because I about knocked one of my friends out with it just messing around. One of my fondest memories of wrestling was when I was in middle school. It was Friday afternoon and I couldn't wait until sat at noon on ABC because the match of the day was Wahoo McDaniel's karate chop against the newest villain The Destoyer and his deadly claw. Wahoo kicked his ass. I was a happy

Close, but it was actually a green mist he spewed. Saw him several times ringside when he was having his battles with Jimmy Valiant. I'm going to add a few that some may recognize, since I see Ricky Steamboat, I have to add Jay Youngblood. With Sargeant Slaughter, was always Private Don Kernodle, Jack and Jerry Brisco, the list goes on from that era.

Also, because it always makes folks laugh, who could forget the Mulkey Brothers? Anyone remember those 2 pasty white, blonde headed guys that got paid each week for the sole purpose of getting their butts whipped on tv? I've also attached a link to one of their matches against of all teams, the Road Warriors. Just don't blink while watching, or you'll miss it.

For another trip down memory lane, check out this link I just stumbled across. I didn't realize Jack Brisco passed away a few years ago. I don't have time to follow or watch wrestling anymore, because honestly, it got kind of boring , or I got burnt out on it either one, but there was a time I wore my watch to cut my parents' grass and when Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling came on, the mower had to be parked in the shade for an hour. Boogie Woogie's theme "The Boy from New York City" 45 record blared through our house many days and seeing as I only had a sister, she knew when she heard it, she was going to be crying real soon. LOL!
