How does a coach (any coach) get away with dumping 4 players from a team? In this case, SMU is giving them academic scholarships so I give credit to a class university, but if a kid is offered a scholarship, then the school should allow him to play for the team.

I can see weeding out bad kids, and I know scholarships are good for one year, but the NCAA makes it very difficult for a kid to transfer. They have to sit out a year and often can't transfer to a school in the same conference. In my opinion, the NCAA should make it just as difficult for a coach to get rid of players. Once again, getting rid of 4 is ridiculous. Larry Brown certainly won't be at SMU for 4years to see his new recruits graduate.
