Well put. I do not believe we have ever had a student/athlete equal to Michael Roth before and can only hope we can have another one like him in the future.

As he walked off the mound for the last time at Carolina, I thought how lucky we as Gamecock fans have been to have watched one of the Greatest Gamecocks ever...... a great pitcher, a winner, a cool fun loving character, a great student, an awesome teammate, an ambassador of the University we all love and a person of character and integrity. I can only imagine that his parents are even prouder than we as fans are and that's saying a lot.

I was one of the few people standing and clapping in the middle of a bar in Greenville. Will never forget him walking off the field that night. What an amazing career and what an amazing young man. Never have I seen a player in our uniform quite like Mr. Roth. Success will find him in whatever he does with his life.
