I don't know if yall realize it our not...but it is amazing how far yall have come in the last 4 or 5 years. I don't know if there is another program oither than Alabama that can say they've made a bigger jump.
Most fans on this board would be upset with a 9-3 regular season....and those same fans would be pissed off with an 8-4 season.
Reading the "would you take" thread about wins got me thinking about it. I remember sitting in Willy B in 2001 when yall beat us thinking yall acted like you just won the Super Bowl...then beat Ohio St in the Outback to win 9 games? Imagine how happy you were at that point?
And now yall'd be upset with that season. Amazing how much things have changed in the SEC east.

It is amazing and the turn bama made is amazing also and even bigger, but the obvious difference is they sucked recently but always had tradition on their side. SC had some recent bad years but had 0 tradition to sell. Now I feel like we have made a few steps up and are now a good solid football team and better yet have built a program. So yes i would be disappointed if we don't win 10 games this year in regular season but I realize that with the tougher schedule this year it is possible we go 8-4 and be a better team than last year. We will have to wait and see but my prediction this is 10-2, with losses to lsu and florida. Obviously we could beat both of those teams and probably should beat UF on paper but there are games I think we will win that we could lose like, ARK, GA, MO, and CU. I can't wait for the season to start and see what happens.

When people like Chaz Sutton, Quin Smith, Cody Gibson, etc can't start for us, that's the huge difference I see. The talent level and depth is night and day from pre/post Spurrier.

I don't remember us acting like we won the super bowl when beating Clemson that year. Our players were beat up after that Florida game so it was nice that we were able to pick ourselves up the next week and pick up a win. Clemson fans tore down the goalposts and stayed inside the stadium for about thirty minutes after the game celebrating when y'all beat our 1-10 team in '98. I was 14 years old and still thought that was a little strange. After watching the Auburn postgame this year., doesn't seem like much has changed in that regard
