I don't know the exact numbers, but its not as good as it should be. I guess the hour and a half drive is just too much for some. Or maybe it's the economy, maybe its playing ECU. Whatever excuse you want to use! Bottom line, perhaps Gamecock fans aren't as great as they're made out to be. Ask them to spend money and they flip out!

folks are whining over 90 min drive? I drive 6 total. Even on Thurs games. Down & Back in one trip.

I will be there with 4.
I hope we do represent cause if we don't I am concerned that there will be more ECU fans there than Gamecocks. To me that would be embarrassing
I have seen them show up for games against NC State and UNC big time. They filled up Dukes stadium out numbering them 3-1.
We don't want this to turn into an away game.

A few weeks ago the rag had an article saying we sold 26000 and ecu sold 14000...not sure if that is just ticket offices for school and not panthers stadium.
For the record it was my in laws paper and they brought It to my attention. I don't read or subscribe to the paper.

It might be 90 minutes for you but it actually makes it almost a 2-hour drive longer for me.

Yeah me too Boogity but still going to be there. I can't fathom a Carolina game not being 60 -70.000 though we'll see.

I don't get the 2 hour drive problem. I drive down from Durham for our home games. No problem.

I was considering jumping on the Greyhound. I'm young and can deal with 90 minutes on a bus. The bus station is walking distance to the stadium in Charlotte. I figure that I can save myself the aggravation of driving. Its probably hell driving away from that Stadium.

Why wouldn't it sell out? First game of the season, high expectations, most talented team ever. Is an hour and a half too far? Hmmm, wonder what LSU fans would do?

If there is any way you can make it, get here. I live in Charlotte and this is a statement game for the real Carolina. un-Carolina is down, Klempson alums are afraid, we are attracting close to 300 new freshman a year from Charlotte, the billboards in town have people talking, the top football prospects in Charlotte have us high on their list, etc.
Let's show em what Carolina football and the SEC are about! i beleive we wiill have a great walkup of Gamecocks.
BTW....i bought more than 50 tickets for friends and family. (let's hope they pay me back!)
