Are gamecock fans writing off this season? WYFF sports

    Interesting. I rarely listen to any of it it and haven't this week. I'm sure they would/could
    get that feel from the little radio shack in Clemson, but is that what is coming out of
    Columbia talk radio these days ?

    Absolutely not and Cola talk radio from gamecock callers does not sound like fans are writing anything off either..... particularly not writing off the Nov. 26 game and the beating we will put on the Taters for the third year in a row....

  • We still have a pretty good defense and SOS will prove he can still do something with less options, looks for end a rounds, screens and quick passes to replace some of the runs.

    I haven't. SEC games aside, we've got a game against Clemson to win.

  • Not at all. We have a very good football team even without Lattimore. It helps that the next 2 defenses we race rate 8th and 9th in the SEC.

  • I live in Greenville but keep the computer on 1400am all day long...even listen at times. I've heard no whining from Carolina nor CU fans on 1400 but I can well imagine that the early and and afternon shows on the local CCCPfm are loaded with negativity from the EXPERTS as well as a lot of the callers. It IS THE CU FLAGSHIP. I doubt the Ch4 staff understands that Columbia is on the internet and i they know, I doubt they care.

  • Haven't seen anybody write us off yet. I think we will have a tough time getting through Ark and UF unscathed, but I think we take care of business against the Vols and Taters at home.

  • No fan has written off the season if anything we've all taken on the us against the world mentality. We are growing tired of people telling us all we had was Lattimore. We are quitely optimistic, we're not Daboites and beating her chest in our k-mart sweatshirts. Do we have concerns...sure.....but we don't think it's over by a long shot. We know our line needs to step it up, if they do then we are confident Wilds can get it done, we've got a QB that is playing well and finding guys, we have depth at WR and an all American out there, and we've got a good D. We know our own flaws and these media pundits who watch from afar just don't have a clue. I'm being bold, we'll beat UT, UF, and we will send Dabo and the orange pansies back to pickens crying and sucking their thumbs.

  • A statement was made today on 1400 about Carolina fans not packing it in..after the Lattimore injury. I am happy that as a fanbase we believe we can achieve even when we are not at full power. IMO it shows growth.

    We got other weapons and a great defense that will keep us in the game with anybody.

  • Without reading any other response, I will certainly say no way ... Through the first two months of the season this has been one of the most intriguing campaigns of Gamecock Football that I can remember ... I quite like the fact that South Carolina is 6-1 / 4-1 SEC at "the break" ... Have there been distractions? ... Sure! ... Has there been good / bad football? ... Yes! ... Have there been stars and goats? ... Absolutely! ... However, isn't that what we want to experience from February through July? ... Going to be a wild ride beginning Halloween weekend through the SEC Championship game ... Buckle up and enjoy the second half of the football season!
