JD calling out his teammates.. in public ..... a good thing or bad ?

If he's doing this in public, imagine what he's doing in private. Wouldn't have expected to hear him say it. But he's one of the best on our defense so if he feels inclined to step up as a leader, by all means...

I think it's pretty obvious which players, for the most part we're talking about here. Obviously the front 7 on Defense, LB's & DT's finishing plays & tackling, a DE making LSU pay for double/ tripple teaming the other DE, especially 1 on 1 vs a true frosh OT & maybe a safety who just hasn't been himself since he was given that rediculous suspension. I don't think it's about him not wanting it , but maybe hesitating to play w/ the killer aggressive mentality that makes him the great player & leader he is. About hitting, finishing tackles( LB's/ 27) wrapping up &getting off blocks.... fighting & wanting it more. Offensively, it starts up front & it's across the board.... Particularly run blocking. Maybe a TE uncharacteristically losing concentration, dropping balls & lacking a fire in the belly, Then 1 or 2 WR's not playing w/ fire, fighting for balls, making tough catches & a QB that has to make better decisions & throws, trust his coaches, the plays, hanging in there & letting it rip ( especially w/ protection) giving his playmakers a chance & finally trusting himself & his ability to make a tough throw & winning play....as we've seen him do.

I think it is good that players are holding each other accountable & a sign of leadership, pride & wanting to accomplish great things. Its completely different than placing blame & pointing fingers. its all still there for us as we control our own destiny.... But know we have to come to practice w/ that hunger to get better, giving 100% as they know we must get a lot better fundamentally, playing more physical & intense to achieve our goal as its all at stake.... Right now. Win anyway

This is when the team leadership from players has to emerge & will I believe. We will want it more than UF....that stop, that yard, that play... That win. We have to.
