Bama QB recognizes the Gamecocks are now a powerhouse

    Dont know if he implied we're a "powerhouse", though I find it interesting he mentioned us over perenial opponent Arkansas and in the same breath as LSU.

    35-21 still resonates...my proudest moment as a fan

    I think it's a double implication. He's implying our defense is up there with LSUs, a known "powerhouse"; thereby implying that we are a powerhouse. Our defense anyway.

    Our defense has been the real deal

    Our D line has been and is just down right nasty . QBs don't forget it

    and don't think for a second that any bama player would say anything that hadn't already been said once by Saban. thats coach speak to me, with arkansas in turmoil there's a 3 way tie for best in the SEC this year.

    On another note, that running back TJ Yeldon is an absolute stud! He was the best looking running back at the US Army AA game. Mike Davis was the second best, imo. I thought that when I had no idea he was coming to USC. Davis was used in the passing game there, and he looked very good. He is faster than I thought he would be, and runs as hard as he possible can at all times.

    Yeldon is very big, quick, and powerful. He leaped over standing defenders on at least two occasions. Like the HBC said, it is not hard to recruit at 'bama.
    The kid was committed to Auburn first, which could have been bad, because I hat their coach. He would have been like Scam and made that moron look like he knows what he is doing. Chizik is a little like dabo in that he has no idea what the offense or defense is doing, but he takes all the credit. He is not as bad as that orange clad clownd!&k in pickens, however.

  • we can be a top 4 program in the SEC abd maintain it while we continue to get the kids we want (by & large) in S.C. and supplement that iwth really good prospects from Fl., Ga., NC and the N.E. (thank you G.A. Mangus). We are the closest warm weather state to the NE.
    That's the blue print SOS have built. Whoever follws him (hopefully at least 5 yrs from now) will keep that formula going and continue our success.
