That is very, very big to hear that Schrock, Iskenderian, and Britt are coming to school. From What I had read, I expected one of them gone for sure. Iskenderian and Schrock had been mentioned in the first 3 rounds by at least a couple scouts, if I am remembering correctly.
Wynkoop is huge, he is a very good, Jordy Montgomery type player. I have heard nothing but very, very good things about him.
Question: Whittle, do you think Britt will be a power bat, or a pitcher, or maybe a Roth type, who does a little hitting, but will mostly pitch?
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.

Would love to get 2 of 3 back of Holmes, Webb and LB. At the end of the day we should have lots of talent drafted. Although not unexpected given our on the field success. Kudos to Tanner, Holbrook, Espo, Meyers and Calvi for putting together an impressive group of guys.

I hate to lose our top guys to the draft but here's my "look on the bright side" straight from Whittle's notes.
Schrock - After a forgettable summer in 2010, Schrock had the best summer of any other commit in 2011.
Wynkoop - He is the most polished pitcher in the recruiting class and has a chance to be special from the day he steps on campus.
Britt - All-around elite player.
Iskenderian - Supposed to be, along with Corey Seager, a high draft guy.

A friend of mine was talking to one of the MLB scouts who was in town for the regional . I don't recall what organization the scout worked for, but he was very high on Wynkoop . He predicted that if Wynkoop came to school that he would be our Friday night starter before his freshman season was done .

What type of contact is allowed with Agents and high school baseball players? I hope these players had agents before they agreed to terms with their respective MLB teams.

They aren't allowed to have "agents" but they're allowed to have "advisors." They're the same people. Just can't be any money or anything exchanging hands until after the player is ready to give up his amateur status.

Sure. They can sign any player whenever they want to. Just have to meet 27 and 11.7 by the time school starts.
