I thought we had a very good chance at Jeter. But I guess staying close to home seems to be a major factor with him.

It would seem right now that we are going to have some trouble landing any good players this spring. It looks like we trail for Glass and Jeter, and there is still a question whether Hall will qualify. With Gill leaving, right now we are at 9 scholarship players for next year. We need to sign a couple of good players who can play next season, but at the moment, I don't see any sure things in our 2012 recruiting. Hope there is something happening that has not been published.

We already have 5 juniors for next year. I don't think it would be a good idea to add another one. If we could get a juco who has 3 years left, that would be fine. Otherwise, I think we need to sign one or two high school players this spring. Maybe Hall can qualify and we can get him. Hope so.

I say don't give Gill a release, he signed for USC not Horn. He either sucks it up or misses out on a chance to play D1 ball on scholarship.
19 year old kids often don't know what is best for them and I don't think if he wasn't given a release that Martin would not let him be a bad seed. I think Gill would ultimately end up being happy if he stayed. I could be wrong tho.

I think we can expect to struggle next year. My thing is Martin is a better Coach and will teach discipline and structure so I thjink that part wll improve. I also hope he can get RJ Slawson in the weight room. I think RJ can be a much improved player and help with the loss of Gill.

If a player does not want to be on your team, you have to let him go. Best thing for everyone.

We do have a lot of Juniors on this team. But we need a JUCO point guard. He is concentrating on High School players fort he balance of this class.
Bill is there any chance we try to get back in with Morris or Baker?

Makes sense, Gill joining Akil at UVa...Bennett's system is also a very good fit for Gill, logical move on his part...He is a talented kid...
WG, are we still in the game at all with Carlos Morris? What about making a move with Torian Graham?
This Hall kid really intrigues me. He seems to have a complete game and would be a great fit on the wing for USC. Wouldnt mind us grabbing one of Glass or Jeter as well. While they arent program changers, they are long bouncy and have high motors...Essentially players you need to have in a winning program.
In my eyes it would be smart for USC to make a move at a JUCO PG in this class. WG, is there anyone out there who fits that bill?
When Gill leaves, does that leave us with 4 open schollys (5 if you include Haughton) or 3 (4 with Haughton)?

Williams is going to have to be a PG. We have no choice.
Though losing Gill means not having one of our best offensive players, I still say people will be surprised by the talent on this team, once they are in a good offense. Organization and shot selection makes good players look good.
