The Andy Griffith episodes with Don knotts are in a class all by themself. All were rated G, most had a moral storyline, and have stood the test of time evidenced by the number of reruns still playing today. Not to mention the endless laughs supplied by that memorable cast...who can't remember Gomer & Barney in the "Old Remshaw House" looking for Opie's baseball!?! "I don't see no baseball, do you?" as they stand in the threshold of the front door.

For me, it's a debate between Cheers and Seinfeld.....like to see all the WKRP references. Way before it's time. Very memorable considering it lasted only 3 seasons I think.

I remember as a kid on Saturdays watching the show and hearing the classic opening comment from Mel Allen; "Hello there, everybody, this is Mel Allen." with the Theme Song playing http://www.televisiontunes.com/This_Week_in_Baseball_-_Instrumental.html and the video of Dave Parker of the Pirates gunning down a runner at home plate from Center Field.. Excellent call on this one.
