This discussion has taken place how many times? We talk about it and someone will come on here and say that this won't be tolerated and things will settle down for a short time but sure as a victory over Clemson it comes back.......and then we talk about it again and again and again

Yep, look at how many people put me in my place when I made a goofy post about my dog playing football.

There are a lot of 'posters' who contribute nothing, but are quick to assert their superiority. A lot of people do nothing other than criticize other people's posts. It's entertaining to get them riled up.

SC Spur, I feel you. It's one of the reasons I left the GCC board as well.

This place is still like paradise compared to the other place many of us came from.

This message board has changed a lot in about a year that's why I left TOS I hate when posters attack or pick on someone for misspelling a word.

I know most, if not all mods have been around USC message boards a lot in the past, as have most posters who made the switch. I don't want to go too general here, but as some have said in previous posts in this thread, some who made the move brought their SOS with them. My hope is that while it may cost some membership money on TBS, those who don't adhere to the board rules are given a "warning, temporary ban," and if they can't handle and wake up from that, are given their pink slip permanantly. In the long run, it will pay off and ensure this board doesn't meet the same agonizing fate other boards have experienced.

TBS mods are among the best ever, and know what I'm talking about, and are always welcome to rein me in if I step out of bounds. I'm not so smug as to think my opinion is always right, and most of the time, I'm mature enough to share why and discuss without attacking those who think differently, which is healthy and what the board is for, IMO. The OP is right though, some just can't let things go and intentionally bait posters and get personal, and should have a warning shot fired across their bow. Personally, I think this site has all we long-timers and serious USC enthusiasts always wanted, and I'd like to have it become my final stop and change for USC message boards. I believe it will be just that, because the owners know how important rules and their enforcement are to their livelihood, and do a great job.

In my opinion it's because everything is so pc in the real world. Internet is where people vent and say what they hold back in public.

With regards to this board in particular, there are a lot of new members on her who can't handle anything but positive comments regarding USC athletics. And it's made people with sometimes unpopular opinions, myself included, even more agrressive in retaliation.
