Bobby Petrino in Motorcycle Crash

  • ftlaudcock said...

Got slammed 5 years ago....stopped at a red light.

Turned out the guy that hit me--who of course had minimal insurance--used to detail cars for a buddy of mine, but my buddy stopped using the guy because he said the guy was baked all the time...which raises the question, how baked do you have to be to not be able to detail a car???

Same thing happened to my dead-beat dad when I was 16. A retired military man hit him. Speed estimated at impact... 60 mph. He survived the crash, but the pain pills he took....got up to 50 percasets a day, then went on to heavy drugs. Fried his brain and ruined his life.

When he was in the hospital, I went to see him. He made me promise that day to never ride a motorcycle, and I have kept that promise for many years. After working at a major hospital for 5 years, and the serious motorcycles injuries we saw (especially head injuries....and Va. had a helmet law) it wasn't hard to keep that promise.

As i stated earlier ! Bikers are always looking for danger . Now we have to be "observant" for the typing police.
