Palmetto Proving Grounds

I really hope we sign Martin as well. He (Golson) & Martin are 2 guys who have wanted to be Gamecocks really bad & have had to take the hard path. Thee 2 guys were both reffered to as really good "steals" of their initial classes. I remember Tom Luginbill describibg Golson as 1 of the biggest secrets, underrated & the absolute steal of the class for the Gamecocks when he committed out of HS.

Ronnie Martin was also a guy alot of analysts described as underrated, primarily because of size, but was even described by a neutral analyst at the Shrine Bowl as having possibly better pure cover capabilities than the majority of CB's in that class.

These are 2 positions of need as well, & these 2 guys could contribute immediately it would seem.

Rolin, Golson & Bryant would be a FANTASTIC LB class w/ the others
Groves was a big get to go with the ath's in this class. I like Cooper alot & hopefully we can get 1 more solid CB
Groves, Martin & Cooper would be pretty good too, especially considering the great DB's we signed last class
