Spurrier...I appreciate him plenty
Can anyone summarize the response from the insiders on the UGA board about a new offer being out on BAW? And his moms response to it?
Three things I love... My Lord, My son and college football!
I think I can relate to how BAW's mom feels with respect to her first comment. As a parent of a son that graduated last year from HS, my wife and I were "surprised" every time my son received a college acceptance. He was 6-for-6, meaning that all 6 schools he applied to accepted him. It's not that we did not think he would be accepted; however, as parents, you have to "temper" expectations since you don't want them to get too excited with a positive such as an acceptance (or scholly offer in BAW's case) or too disappointed in a negative such as a denial. The parents cannot over-react either especially in recruiting which is a seemingly long path that can take lots of twists and turns with teenagers, coaches, friends and teammates, fellow recruits, etc. In BAW's recruitment, he has advantages since he is smart and well grounded and has extremely supportive parents who want to help him conduct his recruitment with integrity and class.
