Buster Anderson and Jerell Adams!

  • I would like to see us use these two at tight ends this year like New England uses their TE's. Would be a nightmare match-up for linebackers

  • its been a solid 40 days since someone posted this kind of dribble. don't you think if it was easy to run the patriot' two te sets, everyone would do it?

These are very athletic guys...if you think that this is dribble you are poorly informed.

Point well taken. I'd rather it be Anderson and Rainey, though, with Adams playing DE.

    Spurrier...I appreciate him plenty

  • Pretty sure we played a lot of 2 TE sets last year with Justice and Buster

    Fomerly known as Garnet&BlackAttack.

We did and I am not under-valuing Justice Cunningham at all...in fact I think that he will be one of the most important players on offense. His role however will be primarily as a blocker at either FB or TE. He will be a key to the offense with his ability to open holes for Lattimore and protect Shaw. In a passing offense the opportunity to have two TE's with athletic guys like Anderson and Adams is unique and opens up the field.

Not a flame, just wondering why you would rather have Adams at DE. Admittedly, he is the freakish type athlete you usually see at DE, but imagine a Clowney-like athlete at TE. We need big weapons on offense too.

On another note, I know some of these new guys are the sexy TE's. But, Justice is very under appreciated for the things he does blocking and receiving. He has a knack for finding spots for Shaw to dump him the ball if he is under duress. I like that kid.

I'd rather have Adams at DE because we lose Taylor after this year and Clowney after next year.

Adams will likely be a TE in his freshman year. Where he plays as his career at USC advances depends on the depth chart and his production. I prefer him at DE down the line as well but it likely won't occur this year.

I think we are fine at DE when those guys are gone. We have Chaz Sutton for two more years and I expect he will have a huge season in 2012. With all of the young talent we have at the position, I do not worry about replacing them.

Having said that, the HC at Fork Union did say in an interview back before signing day that he thought Adams best position going forward was at DE, not TE.

I know that there is no season or practice going on, but do we have to be so mean? If someone posts their opinion, you are not obligated to respond. Seabass told me why you like to use the term dribble so much, so I understand. Please don't let your inner struggles make you mean and reprehensible. With counseling and beer, you too can be a productive member of this site.

You and I were bound to agree on something eventually. :-)

Imo we have too many good athletes stacked at TE. It is going to be impossible to give Anderson, Rainey, Owens, and Adams the reps they deserve. It's only natural for one or more to get a look somewhere else.

Your memory of the coaches statement is just like mine, so I think the young man must have a clear preference for offense and having the ball in his hands. Having said that if he does his research he will find that one of the top ways to get paid is DE/pass rusher!
