CHARLESTON - South Carolina survived a rally but got some late insurance runs in a 9-5 win over The Citadel on Tuesday night.

  • Saiko is a definite step up from some outfielder/hitters we've had in the past. Gonce, Disher, Beary, Winn, Crisp, etc. all played out there just to get their bat in the lineup.

  • Thank you, JW.

I could not agree more about getting Saiko and English back. I am excited for Carson's future, and his athleticism is something else. Him not striking out last night is very encouraging. I am sure it is frustrating for normal players to watch how fast he is improving. That said, we need English and Saiko back on weekends.
