College Gameday Nov. 26?

  • USC 9-2
    Clemson 10-1

Clemson will be top 10, and we should be pretty close. I hope Gameday crew sets up in the Horseshoe again, and gives this rivalry some national attention.

  • When does LSU-Arky play that weekend? If it's same day, almost have to think they'd be there...given that National Champ implications are on the line.

That being said, I hope they're in Cola.

  • Arky/LSU is on Friday night

  • Espn tends to promote their own games when they can as opposed CBS. I think we have a good change especially with the LSU arky game on Friday.

  • It would seem that South Carolina/Clemson will be the best game that day.

Auburn plays at Alabama and I am not sure if Gameday has ever gone to a campus twice in one year.

Notre Dame is at Stanford and I bet that would draw some attention but again, Gameday was just at Stanford.

The one to maybe keep an eye on is Iowa State at Oklahoma although they will be in Stillwater the following week for the Bedlam game so I am not sure they would go to Norman and then over to Stillwater.

Georgia Tech and Georgia play, but I am not sure they really have anything better going than South Carolina/Clemson.

They could go obscure and pick something out of a small conference but with Arkansas and LSU playing at 2:30 on Friday, there are just not a lot of great atmosphere's or games to choose from.

Where is Georgia Tech at in their division right now record wise? That could potentially be played up as, "these two teams are going to their conference championships"

  • Does Justin get wind of anything?

I think the one to watch out for is UVA. If they beat FSU this weekend they will play VPI in CVille for the chance to go to the ACCCG-it's a story with London there now. Lose though in Talla this weekend and no shot.

Penn State and Wiscy still play and that could be for the confernence game...has Wisy had gameday already? For some reason I thought they did.

3 losses already they are behind VPI and UVA

Yes. Was it against OSU or Mich?

  • Was there for Nebraska.

  • According to CBS Sports they are going to show the Alabama - Auburn game on Saturday at 3:30. That would tell me that USC - Clemson will probably be a 7:45 game on ESPN. I suspect that it will either be our game or some human interest game like they have done for Harvard - Yale or something like that.

Well, the game is at Auburn so they could still go there.

But, the better, more high profile game is the Clemson/USC game.

I dont think they go to Iowa State because they are just not that good. If it was at Iowa State, I could see it but not with it being in Norman.

But, I do believe that Gameday has never gone to the same place twice in the same year.

I do agree with Duck that it could be UVA-VT but he was wrong in that VT has to lose this weekend and UVA win in order for that game to be for the ACC Coastal.

  • Harvard and yale play this weekend I think...

    @trevishall

    USCTrevis

  • You are correct. Harvard vs Yale is this Saturday at Noon on Versus.

There are actually only one FCS games next weekend and that is Southern vs Grambling State. So, there is a slight possibilty they choose that game because that is a huge well-known rivarly but Southern is only 4-6 on the season and Grambling is 6-4.

I do remember them choosing two HBCUs a couple of years ago for Gameday and I believe this game was towards the end of the season. I think it was Alabama State or something like that. Please feel to correct me if I am wrong.

  • Herbstreit is probably broadcasting the Notre Dame-Stanford game at 8 since he usually calls the 8pm ABC game. Would be tough to do gameday in Cola, then fly across the country to call that one.

He does that every time GameDay is somewhere different from the game he is calling. Not a big deal.

Yeah but not from coast to coast...he'd have about 6 hours to get from the horseshoe to the stadium in Stanford... Would be easy if he was broadcasting at Ohio state or somewhere like that, but that's cutting it close
