Congratulations to Eric Hyman!

  • I know alot of people don't want to give the credit he deserves for the great strides the athletic program has made and continues to make! You cannot make everybody happy because you may be stepping on some toes and feelings but we are in a lot better shape since he had been here!

  • Eric Hyman deserves alot of credit. In short he brought home the bacon. I also agree that he is excellent at maximizing our athletic dept.

I have been critical..and wil no doubt be critical in the future. Still I believe that when someone does good you praise them like Jesus.

I like Hyman and knew him before he ever came to USC. He is a good guy but he has a job to do and he should be held accountable for his decisions. He is not prefect as the Horn hire shows though Horn did some good things here, he just wasn't the right BB coach. He knows that he doesn't just report to the BOT and President. He understands the fans at USC matter, probably more than any AD we have ever had. I think the fans holding him accountable helped lead to this hire of Frank Martin. He listened to all the fans not just those that wanted one certain BB coach. He understands that at USC if you build a winner the fans will reward the coach, the team and the university.

He's had to make some tough decisions that didn't go over well at the time. He's made some mistakes but he's man enough to admit it and move on to correct them. He is a leader and he really cares about USC. Being critical isn't a bad thing as long as it is constructive. We all get the big head sometime and need to be brought back to earth when we screw up.........

I like the way you think. Hyman has impressed me with his ability to hold onto a position when the pressures of the fans and press could sway a lesser man.

I do believe in criticism. I do not so much believe that Hyman hears anyones individual voice....yet collectively he has to hear the buzz. I do believe he knew that he had to make a change after the fans withdrew...and I think he was under some strong pressure to get this one right. I also do not know if the choices would have been the same without the fans buzzing in his ear.

IMO fans are fans....it is good to act like rabid fans..instead of a wine and cheese bunch watching the Camden Cup. It puts the University on notice that there are consequences to failure.

Hyman came through like a champ on this one. The day is his!
