Are they that delusional....
It one day from the annual Clemson-South Carolina rivalry game. Clemson 247 takes a look at the matchup and gives their predictions.
I can't read that mess.

It's funny in that they are all nearly the same. Only a couple of points different in Clemson's score and no more than 7 points different in our score out of the 4 predictions. It's like they are working off a templet. To me that shows they really have no idea what will happen. It is based on how they have done against ACC competition instead of playing a real football team.
Interesting that the first fella, Cory Fravel or whatever, says that he thinks the Tigers will target Devonte Holloman as his coverage is "sloppy at times". Well, that sloppy coverage has led to 2 Holloman INT's in 3 games vs the Tigers, so by all means target away...
I get your point, but I think he's referring more to the Holloman who played against UcheaT.
You seem to like to bring a lot of pro Clemson info to the board. What up with that?
The "Holloman who played against UcheaT" is the same Holloman who is tied for the team lead in INT's with 2, has 4 pass breakups, and has had really solid season/career.
It's easy to cherry pick one poor game (although I don't recall his game vs UT being "that" bad), but the Clemson writer made the broad statement that Holloman would get picked on because of his sloppy coverage. My point was I hope they go at him, because it's obvious based on his previous 3 performances against the Tigers that Devonte gets up for that game and plays well. If I had to guess the Tiger writer called Holloman out individually more because he was a one-time Tiger commit who spurned them than because of his actual cover skills.
Holloman has been and continues to be a very under valued member of our D in my opinion. I don't think a lot of folks will realize just how good he is until he's picked in the middle rounds this coming April...
I think we are somewhat on the same side of this issue...
My point, as it has been since before the game week started, is that unless you follow or analyze USC intensely, your predictions and thoughts about this game are based on snapshots of the season; therefore, you would most likely think about and predict this game the same as done by the mast majority of the media (although I hesitate at calling tater 24/7 "media").
Moreover, once some orange hillbilly spectacles are worn, you will predict specific things like what was said about Holloman. Will TaterU be able to exploit Holloman as stated in an article written by extremely biased writers? It's just speculation. The game will tell.
Ultimately, the bottom line is I was not surprised by nearly any game prediction nor do I think the USC fan outcry over same is founded.
