I would hate to think that the number one player in the country is in Columbia and that she would actually stay in state and go to Clemson. From everything I've heard (not like I follow women's basketball recruiting) she is the real deal. Dawn has got to pull out all the stops on this young lady.
She's good... Thats all I got lol
I know that in addition to being an incredible player, she is extremely intelligent. From all I have heard, she is a quality young lady all around. I believe that Dawn can work her magic and make her a Gamecock.
Our program is leaps and bounds ahead of Clemsux, with a nationally recognized coach.
Not really, but considering most of clemson's team transferred or gave up basketball midseason and they're terrible I'd have to like our chances a bit.
Clemson does not even field a competitive team. If she is going to stay in state, this should be a no-brainer for A'ja.
You guys are forgetting the hills and the things in them.
klimpson's coach is a good recruiter. They had a top 10 class this year, so she is good in that regard. They are not that good now, and she is not in the same class as Staley, but she can recruit. Their class is ranked ahead of ours. Now, Staley is a great evaluator, and a developer, and our players will be better than theirs, but that is that.
You have to think that Staley will win this battle. Regardless, Staley is taking this program to the top, and fast. She'll field a great team every year we are fortunate enough to have her.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
Watched her play Saturday, very smooth, when she was a freshman, she was 6 ft point guard, very good ball handling skills and it has transfered to her being 6'4 and very good ball handler, smooth at the free throw line made 8 of 8 the other day had 30 points against Northwood, they lost 69- 59, as Amber Campbell had 30 points as well, she is a fast, expolsive first step guard and is being recruited by Dawn as well.If Dawn pulls in both of these girls, along with Welch, look out. They are both Juniors as well. Awesome game.
Her big recruits are the people that transferred. They are terrible.
Don't reaqlly follow girels hoops too much, but have to echo what gamcock22 says about Amber Campbell from Northwood. My daughter plays for Ashley Hall and I saw Campbell play against them last week. Granted the competition was not stellar, but Campbell has some other good players on her team and she is head and shoulders above them.
