Very true. Not the best decision but if you are going to be 2nd or 3rd best might as well make more money doing so.
I hate Ohio State btw in case you thought I like Urban.
Both Arky and AU site showing announcements forthcoming for Bielema and Malzahn, both solid hires but seems to me both were 4th/5th choices for both schools, have heard Bielema interviewed on XM radio numerous times he seems like a very grounded, very good guy, in my opinion he is the better of the 2 hires, Malzahn has no head coaching experience at the college level, Saban will bury him,too closely linked to Chizik.

You do realize Malzahn is the HC at Arkansas State correct?
Sorry, major college level.
If AU hires Gus, then thats a homerun hire to me. You get a guy who recruited all your offensive guys for system, so thats a plus. They haven't been a defensive school for what feels like forever, so you can't lose nothing if you had nothing to start with. Bret to Arky is a surprise to me, although I think it works. Arky wanted a clean-nose guy to run their program, and got it in a big, pale white guy who wants to do nothing but run the ball with a fullback and playaction. Three yards and a cloud of dust used to be the american way. The South shall rise again!! All kidding aside, his program will get really good in about 3-5 years. They'll be just like alabama, and it seems they've had no problem slamming through opposition this year.
But whats really interesting to me is that no one has mentioned Jim Tressel's name of late. Yeah he got caught in the terrell pryor mess, but he's a proven head coach. I figured UT would at least give him a call.

"You’re either a block-gobbler, a farmer, or you’re a damn hunter and playmaker."
How is he going to handle the culture shock, going from Madison -- one of the hippest places in America -- to the heart of the Ozarks?
And toward Saban? He'd be much better off in Madison. Had to be about money....
I don't give Miles much credit for LSU being so good. He inherited a loaded program and that's an incredibly easy place to win, especially since the program was already rolling.
