Co worker is a close friend of DJ Parks family and has a son on the team. He was at church last week and DJ and Joshua Blue both told him Bryce would go to Clemson if he was choosing now. He does not like the city enviroment. I know that has been mentioned but apparently it is a real issue. Good news is Blue is ready to committ and will during his junior year.
Prepare yourself for the storm, I personally thank you for the info.
How could you ever want to play for Clemson as a Gamecock fan
So a kid that has been a Gamecock fan all his life is concerned about the city?
not doubting your info at all..
BUT ANY TRUE GAMECOCK FAN WOULD NEVER GO TO CLEMSON...
IF that's how he feels, he should go where he's most comfortable. It's his life.
I hope he chooses USC in the end. But if he wants to go to Clemson and try to block Clowney well then, sir, be my guest.
When I was in HS, I had a friend who had been a HUGE CU fan his whole life. It was a given that he'd be a Tater. However, during his recruitment, he found that USC was a better fit for him from a personal and football perspective and chose to play at USC. You see, we look at these things as fans, not as players. Players have many considerations that we as fans don't.
this is true... but in my mind any real die hard fan wouldn't just my .02

he will get skoooled by Sir Clowney.....his choice.....
Take it easy on the kid. He hasn't even finished his junior year nor has he committed anywhere. Let me guess, he will be a stud if he commits to USC?
Pure BS... he's a Gamecock. 100% sure of it.
that is correct...if he puts on the orange he will get skooled by Sir Clowney.....its just in the cards...........
Thank you RC Spur...that message got me really ticked off early this AM...I have comeback off the ledge...I know you know the inside scoop...just saying...
Clowney should be drafted by then and playing for the falcons, I think.
This is a subject that really grinds my gears when kids from rural areas say that about Columbia. It's a little ignorant because obviously kids that say things like that have never been to a city. Columbia is not a city, it is a very large town. Charlotte is a city, Atlanta is a City, NY, Chicago, and Dallas are cities. South Carolina doesn't have a City. It’s also pretty stupid considering if you want to play in the NFL…you’re going to be in a city. And I can promise any city any NFL team is in is at least 2 or 3 times Cola Town’s metropolis.
My daughter is a true Gamecock fan and will be attending clemson.
clemson is the school that offers her major.
But for the record....she will not own a thing orange and her side of the room will be decorated in Gamecock stuff.
I do however feel your statement is true for athletes...unless Carolina doesn't offer the sport you play. Which is not the case for our schools.

I agree. Further, there is nothing in "Downtown Columbia" when you are a student to even need to go see the massive skyscrapers! (tongue and cheek) All of your time is spent between the BA Building out over to Bates and then 5Points or The Vista.
For football players 65% of their time will be at or around the stadium.
