Bought the game. Loaded it up. Began to play. The game froze. I rebooted. Now, my PS3 won't read any game discs.
Anybody care to theorize my issue? I ran a disc that cleans the optical reader. No luck.
Fill the drive with super glue, problem solved

Duh. Blow into it.
And when you get done...up up down down left right left right b a start
if its an old school ps3, you're lucky. those bdrom drives usually go out a lot earlier than this. if not, still, thats likely the issue. ps3s have had a bad issue with that, but more expensive than xbox's Red Ring of Death as RoD is covered under warranty, a much longer warranty at that.
$150 to replace the bdrom drive, if its the drive. sucks man
2013 SEC Championship Game: USC v LSU
I have had the original 60gb ps3 since day one and it just died on me...when i turn it on it begins to start up but then shuts off and has a blinking red light. tried fixing it on my own, but to no luck. Thank God they are like half the price they were when I bought the original one. I would search youtube they have a lot of videos on how to fix certain problems with the ps3. It didn't work for me but I have friends that have had luck with it.
They will send you a new one for $100
I like where you're heads at.
But it's ".....b-a-b-a-select-start"
Not sure if it'll look for me but I had to stand mine up (it was flat, now its vertical). That, blowing on the opening and including a 'DVD cleaning" disc for like 10 bucks worked for me. It still skips/stalls periodically, but not consistently and once the DVD/game starts running it is clean.
Worth a try anyway.
If your in columbia go to mr pc located downtown. They fixed my xbox laser drive for 75. I got it back in Three hours...google them.
From what I understand they will send me a refurbished one for 150 in 6-8 weeks...im just trying to decide if it isnt just worth 100 bucks for a new one or to go buy a refurbished one at a store
I'm going to take mine to Gamestop.
Gamestop doesnt fix them
