The players and coaches think so. I have heard several players say they think Connolly is better, and say it without being prompted. Quarles, DJ, Ace, people like that.
They didn't say that they liked him better necessarily, they said he does a better job, and the attendance is better. If players are working harder, I would say the strength coach is doing better. Attendance in workouts is at an all-time high.
Fitz is good at what he does, Connolly is equally as good. That is the consensus among guys like Spurrier and Elliot.

Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
I liked Fitz, but he was not nearly as important as recruiting guys like Lattimore, Alshon, Gilmore, Ingram, and others. Great DNA was the most important. Then, I may agree with you(behind Elliott).
Call Fitz and " GAAMMEE" .... " CCOOCCKKS" in his ear and hang up
The reasons Fitz left were:
1. To be closer to family
2. A Multi Year Deal
3. More money
I don't know what all the sour grapes about him are. He did a great job and I don't know why so many people are "hell no" against him. We don't know how good Joe is. He might even be better. He might be worse. I've hired good people back for making a decision that turned out bad. You want good people.
Fitz has a job and a is guaranteed for the next 3-4 years. Would he even want to leave? He's going to have challenges there but don't assume that he is just ready to jump ship because of bowl losses and schollie's being taken away. He will have a job to do regardless. If they took FB away for a year, maybe. But they didn't.
The other dynamic is that Joe is the S&C. I am not sure I would want to leave guaranteed money for a lesser position. If he can get whatever team PSU fields in shape he is in line for bigger money when daylight breaks.
Man-boy love recently got others in big trouble. You should seek help.
