The team drs aren't optimistic about his knees. They look them over and report back
Can't believe Davis got picked over a lot of RB's.You have to question a team that chooses a RB that went from 1st string to 3rd string.Puzzling.
There is a reason KC is stuck in the cellar.
Agreed. That's my pt. I understand team's being concerned over Latt, but if you're going to gamble, I'd gamble on him over Davis any day.
I would've selected Latt over Davis....but Davis ran a pretty nifty 40 at the combine.
More to it than a gamble. They X-ray those guys.. See progress made.. See your potential and make decisions. These are hundreds of million dollar businesses. They don't take blind shots.
Every draft pick is a gamble to a degree. Add to that the fact that Davis has been plagued by injuries as well, and there are risks involved in drafting either Davis or Latt. So yes, these teams do gamble. They do their best to mitigate risks, but they do gamble. You don't think AZ gambled on Honey Badger?

Absolutely correct on many fronts. Medically though, physicians may have more faith in Davis than Lattimore.
If you don't have in Lattimore or won't to talk him down go back to the tater site.
No one is talking him down. I'm certainly not. Just being objective as to why he didn't get picked yet. That man is the best to wear a gamecock jersey.
If you "won't" to use 6 year old grammar then go back to the tater site.
BigDave and I have butted heads on many things, but his many posts show he is 100% Gamecock. He doesn't deserve that.
We're all frustrated for Latti, but these NFL teams are just doing what they think is best. These aren't ACC referees out to screw USC. Marcus will get his chance and show them and we'll see him in Canton one day.

Can't say Reid doesn't know how to draft offensive talent though and they need a backup who can play right away behind Charles since their current backup will probably get signed by another team in the next year or so if he hasn't already.
Look at it from a team doctor that doesn't really know Marcus, two ACL tears are huge red flag for a team
Fear the Fish
I think Andy Reid is completely over-rated. Obviously, I'm in the minority in that regard. Regardless, I'm not knockin him for not drafting Latt. I'm knocking him for drafting Davis.
Agree ,I don't understand the hype about Reid as well. There were running backs out there that I would have taken before Davis .He himself had multiple injuries, fumble problems, and many Hog fans said he "quit" on their team and his attitude became a problem with the team.Honestly I am still waiting on NE or SF to pick Marcus. He would be incredible w/those organizations.
