we do. His name is Connor Shaw. One game this year he was like 21 out of 22. We killed UGA and he was 6 out of 10. This past Saturday he was like 27 out of 40. By the way, what was Aaron Murray against us??? Go look at Tyler Bray's stats and see how many interceptions he has had this year. I will take CS all day long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Clemsux and UT both sling the ball around but that is where the similarities in their offense cease. UT utilizes an outstanding oline to go vertical which can be extremely effective against a defense that plays a lot of bump and run. The taters use a lot of smoke and mirrors to mask how awful their line is; succinctly put, they don't have the horses up front to have the same consistent success against what we do on defense which is play tight coverage short and if you opt to go down field to try and take advantage of that type coverage we will decapitate your qb within 3 seconds. UT was, I believe, the only team with ability along the line and skill position players to take advantage of that dynamic.
Don't be mesmorized by clemsons receivers guys. They are good no doubt but they play UAB and EAST CAROLINA every week. How did our wr's look against those teams? UT has better receivers than Clemson and its not a knock at Clemson. It's just reality. UT has a brutal schedule. Clemsons is a joke. The joke will be on them come late November. Another 17 point win is on the way. When shaw can run on you he can pass on you. Close early but not on the 4th quarter. Mark it down!
We're going to have to score some points. I see us having 4 or 5 sacks and them having 4 or 5 big plays.
"He said Clemson was salivating after watching the Tennessee game about what they will do to us."
He probably confused that salivating with the slobber of a confused mad dog. I expect to enjoy slobber knocker version 4.0 just as much as 1-3.
Tennessee is Clemson with a good OL
We are definitely going to score some points but what's gonna kill Clemson is our clock eating long drives. Their defense will have no answer for it. It will be another 34-17, maybe 21 game this year. The ACC is the worst I've ever seen it. It's not clemsons fault but once again the physicality is gonna kill them in the 2nd half. The better team ALWAYS wins in this rivalry and we are CLEARLY the better team. Quit worrying folks!
Tennessee has the best pass blocking offensive line in the conference by a pretty good margin imo. Yes Bama has a good line too but they're not better at pass blocking than Tenn.
Maybe but I looked at the opposition both have played against. It just be a bit easier catching a ball against Wake than Fla .
Yeah I agree with this assessment.
They seem to forget about Kenny who just loves playing against Clemson.
Boyd hangs on to the ball way more than Bray. Boyd forces plays more and attempts to generate more often... ie he is a more risk/reward. His arm is similar to brays but not nearly as precise.
Key for us is Quarles and dts getting penetration on boyd to disrupt timing and push boyd to one side of the field. We should win this game.
I would rather have Connor Shaw over Erin Murray (definitely) and probably even over Tyler (Headcase) Bray. Connor played just as well as Bray this past weekend too.
we don't recruit head cases.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
Yeah and they were salivating after the Arkansas game last year too. What did that get them?

Some of the weaker teams in the SEC would have as much success against clemsons schedule as clemson has had.
Give us the clemson schedule and we play for the National Title, our receivers would look like All Americans, and our QB would be up for the Heisman.
Poor little clemson thinks they are so bad...they will see how bad they really are in a few weeks when our Fighting Gamecocks come strolling into town.
We need to make some "Tater-soup" Crush THEM!! Go Gamecocks!
mmm mmm mmm "South Carolina Gamecocks" Good
say what you want, Connor Shaw is not the best qb in the sec. Yes he was 21-22 against mizzou, but how many difficult passes did he make that game. I don't count the UGA for or against him, because he wasnt' asked to do much, but he did what he was asked to do. This past saturday he was 22-32, and the first time since clemson last year that he looked like a top tier qb, in my eyes. Could he be the best qb in the sec? Yes. Is he right now, no. I'm not sure if I'd take Murray, Wilson, or Bray over him for this team, but they are all better than CS at this point in his career.
For the record, no one other than Bray has had a good passing game vs our D, and Bray's game had as much to do with his OLine than his individual performance. Tyler bray had 10 picks to shaw's 5 but Bray has 8 more tds and about 500 more total yards of offensive production. I like CS, and hopefully he can continue his improvement as a passer for the rest of the season.
As for Dirtydomincker, i think we haven't pulled in an elite qb in terms of rankings is because we havent' had much success until recently. As the recruiting shows, with the success our potential to land game-changing qbs has increased.

I guess because we've been so busy beating up on Tennessee and Georgia the past fews years it must have slipped our minds.
100% agree with the original post here. Great post BCSCock. Exactly right.
We got to Bray... what... two or three times? And they still couldn't beat us. We will get to Boyd a lot easier and many more times. He will feel the pressure throughout the game. We see what happended to him last year when he was pressured. If we don't turn the ball over, they have little to no chance in that game, IMO.
Just gonna make it that much better when we kick the sh!t out of them again.
I also don't have time to teach you how to speak hobo.
