The excuses keep multiplying dont they?
How many times has USC been hosed by SEC refs, including at TaterU?
2012 Season stats: 143 carries, 662 yards, 11 TD's; 26 catches, 173 yards;
Praying for a full recovery, Marcus. God Bless You!
Although I agree it was dirty, there was no flag to be thrown on that play. He just ran through Bruce to cover the screen.
Here's my problem with that garbage bs excuse (not suggesting it was your excuse bc that's what I heard when they showed the replay): the screen on that play went 45 yards in the opposite direction! No fake was made to the right. The ball was thrown to Ace on the left sideline. Hall sought out Ellington, who had his head going forward and a little out on a route (not lining up to block anybody as was suggested) and he got nailed right in the block C. It was a dirty, cheap shot like (though not quite as bad) the one Fox put on Courtney Leavitt (sp?) that broke his jaw.
Funny thing is, Bruce took his medicine, cleared out the cobwebs and finished up like a man. He let his play be the payback. Boyd let his play be fuel for the fire. His answer to being smacked around was to throw too fast and out of rhythm and to be generally ineffective.
Wealth is the product of man's capacity to think.
There are no evil thoughts except one: The refusal to think.
That nails it...just hammered his shoulders...probably an inch shorter now...ouch.
Again, I agree it was cheap to go through Bruce, because it was obvious he wasn't blocking. His responsibility on that place was to blow up a screen to that side and he likely didn't realize the ball was even thrown the other way. I don't think he read anything but the WR running a bubble. Instead of running right by Bruce, he decided to throw a shoulder in his ear-hole when he wasn't looking. Dirty, but too much in the play to be unnecessary roughness or anything.
Yep! That was Rod McDowell.
You mean the "helmet to helmet" actually more like "hands to shoulder/helmet" that did not even result in Boyd falling down? Wow.

i agree about the pi on the short routes over the middle. clemson defenders climbed on our guys back just about every time. and the cheap shot on ellington was pass interference as well. that guy should have been kicked out of the game.
they are just so use to playing "flag football", nobody hits to hard and it's freakin' orange in the end zone every 5 minutes,welcome to big-boy football tiggers.
