It's just a little unfair to put him against an 8th grader who has Down Syndrome.
That's what many said when he played Clemson a few months ago.
What's better than being an 8th grader with downs syndrome making two 3's in a JV game?
Not having downs syndrome
I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass, and I am all out of bubble gum.
lol michigan is voting 90-10% against jadeveon
we're down 46-54% now ...
Thats because the boy is from Michigan I believe.
Show some respect.
Individuals with Down syndrome are born with that disability. It's a daily challenge for them to be able to accomplish the things that they do on a day to day basis. There are many challenges, therapists, hard work that these amazing individuals go through in a month that most people don't deal with in a lifetime. It's bad enough they aren't considered the "same" as you and me, but that's where you are wrong. There is nothing different between a person with Down syndrome and yourself.
Do you know someone with Down syndrome? It's obvious you don't because you wouldn't such an ignorant statement.
I do. I'm a father to an amazing 11-month old daughter who sees a physical therapist, an occupational therapists, and a speech therapist every week. She has her struggles but she is doing the exact same thing a typically developing child would be doing at the same age. Yet, she has to go through so much more. And the amazing thing is how incredibly happy my child is. She's such a joy to be around and brings a smile to anyones face whenever they see her. That's the kind of person she is. I know she's here to do special things.
Hopefully one of those special things will be teach you, and people like you, that individuals with Down syndrome deserve to treated equally and not made fun of because of their disability.
It's sad that I come to a Gamecock board and have to read idiotic statements such as the one you made. Thanks for that.
Yeah man, not cool. You have a kid? Ever heard of karma?
Clowney up 79-21
lifeofagamecock, God knew what He was doing when He gave that precious little girl to you. You are as special as your daughter is, and both of you are blessed.

This made me smile . She will be just fine with the great parents she has
Thanks scifilady10 and CaliGamecock9095. I appreciate those kinds words.
Really, my intent with all of this is to just advocate and hopefully educate people regarding individuals with Down syndrome. That's all. I'm not an expert on it or anything like that. I see it more and more now based on the groups we're involved with and it makes you appreciate the little things in life. Just hoping for more respect and equality for those people just like we all want in life.
Now back to football talk!
Okay, it was an insensitive comment, sorry
I have a cousin with Downs, Stephen, who is one of the most amazing people I have had te pleasure of knowing. I truly believe that people with Down's are Angels on Earth.
