Spurrier...I appreciate him plenty
Just a guess, but it sounds like Spurrier may have made the call not to recruit the kid hard. Everyone knows he's not one to suck up to anyone and I can't imagine he appreciates Corey's comments on the radio. Can you comment, JC?

That would be ironic if true.
I really wonder if anyone in the AD even knows about that show or at lest pays attention to it. Our pubilcity depts/efforts over the many years have been less than sterling
Hasn't it been mentioned that there is another junior day coming up? Maybe they plan to bring in a different group and he's included...don't know, just asking...
I really think any perceived lack of interest in Miller has less to do with the old man and more to do with us looking at which players fit best in our scheme in a year with very limited numbers. No one says Christian is not a very good prospect, but you just can't look at the star ranking and decide the coaches don't know what they are doing. If that changes, then great, they will go after him hard, but if they feel they can't take a chance on someone who doesn't fit the scheme as well as others, then that will dictate how hard they recruit him.
As for Corey Miller, I don't have to have journalists or radio people who are pure homers like the Upstate radio crowd, but I also don't want him, an alumni, to take unfair pot shots. I won't listen to his show anymore if I can help it.
Seems a little silly to ask now but is the list of those invited last week public....with all the NCAA rules that seems a natural to not be public.
Signing day is a year away, and a lot can change between now and then. Corey is going to be Corey, but I don't think our coaches would hold that against his kid. I'm sure that Spurrier knows that a lot of people think his son is incompetent, just because he is SOS's son, and that he hasn't 'earned his way.'
I agree with SCar in that if he were to commit, and we were not able to take him, that would be worst case scenario.
I would love to have him, and I wish that numbers weren't so tight next year. That is the issue, that we have so few spots next year. I hope things work out for Christian, I couldn't care less whether or not Corey is happy.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
I hate to tell you this, but Corey played 9 years in the NFL. In his last year, he took a pay cut from his $1.5M pay check, to a mere $500,000. That means in JUST HIS LAST TWO YEARS, he probably made more money than you will make in a lifetime. So before you start badmouthing him about money, you might want to do a little fact checking.
Yea because NFL players are known for being financial geniuses. Ive got no idea of his finances but he could just as likely barely have 2 nickles to rub together as still be rich.

That may be true about him not fitting our scheme but reading between the lines here, he wanted to play at USC. We had 40-50 kids show up for Junior Day and and if they all wanted to commit, we'd have to turn 75% of them away due to our numbers. What was the harm in including Christian?? I feel sad for him; from what JC says, he just wanted a chance to show what he can do and it doesn't even sound like the staff is willing to grant him that. Irregardless if he's a take or not, that is terrible PR.
