Only runs when he absolutely has to.
This is something I really noticed today on tv, he really needed to stay in the pocket longer. He did not have to panic. Along with the two tackles, I really did not think he played very well.
He needs to realize and give his receivers time for the play to develop.
From what I saw today, Clemson will try to blitz most every 3rd down and distance.
Candidly, Shell and Robinson should be ashamed of how they played against Wofford today.
I am hopeful we play with more passion and emotion next week.
I am not trying to be a downer after a win, but you cannot honestly say we played with any passion today.
Bring on Noso or Mitch. Shaw is what he is and Dylan has a limited ceiling IMO.
he never does. Frankly, he's not a very good qb .
Look I like Shaw, but he's a good solid SEC QB, and that s not terrible, just wanting us to take that next step.
Who is Conner?
A solid QB afraid to throw the ball:-).
Does Noso throw in pre-game warm ups? How is his arm strength compared o Shaw?
As for sitting in te pocket, I just don't think he is confident sitting back there. As SOS said, running is what makes Connor a good qb. Right now he is very limited with his foot.
George Strait-Entertainer of a Lifetime
Connor is a good dual threat QB who's biggest weapon (running ability) has been taken away due to fear of reinjuring the shoulder and now slowed by a bad foot.
There was NO POCKET
Shaw has a damn hard time with zone defenses.
And that's the issue. WR's run into space, but he's not confident enough to make the throws. He knows he doesn't have a rocket arm and is worried he doesn't have enough zip.
