It is higher than 158 for the year. I check Tanneyhill's from his senior year when he threw 29 touchdowns and it was only 153. Assuming that they are computed in the same manner for statistical purposes, has any QB had a better statistical rating year than Conner this year? Just curious.
Ooooh, you're going to anger the fans who've convinced themselves that 17-3 isn't cutting it.
I agree there is no nice way to put it...for anyone to dis a QB, especially with our history at USC, that is what 17-3 as a starter ...started and won 2 NEw Years Bowl games...they are at the very least football idiots but probably worse.
Shaw is very accurate and a winner. The biggest thing he needs to work on is finding the open guy and letting the ball go. His rating is high because when he doesn't do this he takes the sack or runs with the ball. He might be better off served throwing the ball away and not taking a sack. This would reduce his rating but save yards. However when he is 100% he usually escapes and gets 1st downs.
I guess the point is statistics don't show everything. But he has been pretty danged good other than holding onto the ball and taking sacks. You are correct 17-3 is hard to argue with.

There are no evil thoughts except one: The refusal to think.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
For all of you posters that think that Connor only throws dump off passes or throws more than any other QB, he ranked (tied for) 10th in the nation in yards per attempt at 8.6 yards.
Shhhhh....they don't like stats. Stats make them angry.

I'm pretty sure Shaw is going to be out for the spring, so it will be Dylan's team in the spring. Spurrier has changed some, in that he values experience and team chemistry. It's why he was so hesitant to pull Garcia last year, because he was a senior, and the team loved him. It is going to take a lot for DT to take the job from Shaw. They will both play next year, with Shaw being the starter. Who knows what will happen from there. They will battle it out during two a days, and going into fall practice.
Pretty good summation.
