Congrats on the staff for pulling in David Williams.
If you can't enjoy what's happening at SC now, it is going to be hard to ever enjoy Gamecock football.
Lose a recruit, forty threads. Land a stud, one or two.
The fact that a whole page was eaten up with concern about Rolin going to Florida vs. 1 to 2 threads about a terrific RB committing might be a sign that some perspective would be good.
Two straight top 10 finishes and four in a row should be cause for celebration vs. all of the teeth grinding that goes on when one fairly highly rated 18 year old kid goes to another school.
David Williams is a big get. Watch his film. He is very good. He also looked good on the few carries he had last night. Good cuts, great balance, and nice speed. Will be a terrific player, IMO.

Great points...much more explosion for a loss than a get. Lol.
People constantly look for a reason for everything to go bad. Some were miserable after the bowl game because they didn't think we ran the ball well enough.
Great pickup for the Gamecocks. David is a great player, and a great young man.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
That's life. When we lose a commit or a lock of course there will be more threads. It's against what we've been led to believe and there is surprise. When someone commits that we've been told will commit for months how is that really a surprise? You're speaking apples and oranges.
It may be life...but some people handle life better than others.
I agree with OP here. I've heard Jay Graham thought this kid was the best RB in the country in this class, and of course he's the one who pushed for Brandon Wilds 2 years ago. The RB position should be set up nicely for the next few years, assuming the injury bug leaves us alone.
No arguments there. Just don't see how posting more about loss than gain is a shock. You see it everyday.
Give the "woe is me" crowd a break. Life as a Gamecock has been really, really fantastic the last few years. There are some people who are really lost without something to worry/gripe about....if the whims of a 17-year-old kid give them a stressor to hold onto, just let them have that tiny bit of comfort.
I watched a lot of both games last night and thought Williams was the best back in either game. Great get!
May I give you a plus rating 3 moretimes.
Me thinks its the usual suspects that love to bitch. I wont name names but one rhymes with fairyleseeno
I think the excitement over getting Williams is a little muffled just because most folks have known he was a commit for several months.
We will loaded at rb...the line should improve. Looks good for the next couple of years.
We would die for a recruit like Williams in the past.
Great recruiting on RB standpoint that we turn away Bryant 5 star for Williams. They can evaluate talent and they got the guy they wanted.
Pure awesome!! Great Job by the staff!!!
The OP makes a point that most of you missed... Too many people here are always FOCUSED on the negative side of life. Even if we had not of known about Williams coming on board for months, and even if Rolin moving on wasn't a huge surprise, the negativity surrounding Rolin would have greatly outnumbered Williams commitment. And if there isn't something negative going on, the drama queens will create it.
These same negative posters are the reason we see comments from seldom posting members who say they would post a lot more often, except their opinions would only be attacked. It just isn't worth the hassle for them to post.
A FEW Rotten Apples are spoiling it for the rest...what a shame.
And then there is my question....whenever something happens, why is it that there is one new thread after another after another, after another, all on the same topic? Why not post to an existing thread? Before posting a new thread, I almost always check the board first (yeah, I forgot once...crucify me) to see if someone has posted about it, and ... they usually have.
Now it's time for the downvotes to begin from our board drama queens. Have fun guys!
