Then how can you say an injection spikes it. I'm not even sure it is an injection. I know I can look it up, but I'm guessing the science behind that claim doesn't exist.
I read in an article from Milwaukee when the story broke that he had an injection that could cause the positive test. They were arguing then that he hadn't reported the injection to MLB in time and that was the issue.
An article or a blog? And if that's the case why hasn't he release the specific injection? Maybe he will today. I don't see how a medicine could make it through the FDA if it cause testoterone to spike 5 times the legal limit for an athlete.
It's a similar defense that Cushing used.

I believe it was a blog from a writer from the MJS the only paper in the city. Maybe he didn't release the injection because he doesn't want the whole fing world knowing he has an std? I do know that they talked about the injection on PTI at the time so it was most certainly in the open and Wilbon is hooked up in that area with his Chicago ties.
I will also add that people such as yourself are the reason tests are not supposed to be released until after appeal because I'm pretty sure he could piss angel tears into a cup and in your eyes he would still be tainted.
People like me? You're on a recruiting website that gets inside information. Leaked information. Spare me your situational outrage on when it's ok to get info leaked.
He didn't piss angel tears, he didn't argue what he pissed. 20:1 ratio is the highest tested. And until some science comes out I don't buy the herpes prescription excuse. Some synthetic testoterone has 24 hour shelf life in your body.
Drug tests are completely different then where a 17 year old is going to spend a weekend.
He hasn't released it though. A blog and talking about it on PTI means nothing. Drugs have to go through a process to be approved for public use. I don't see how a drug could make it through the FDA that would have that type of side effect.
Athletes are only entitled to their privacy when it's convenient. Like I said it's situational outrage.
Really? Saw an ad on tv last night for synthetic testosterone.
Legally drug tests from employers need to be kept private.
Ok. Buy it, along with all the other as seen on tv stuff that doesn't work. It's not synthetic testosterone, and if it was they don't advertise it on tv. It isn't a prescription, and it didn't have to go through the FDA.
Sure it needs to be kept quiet, but we aren't arguing the legality of it. You and I live in a society where we welcome leaked information that probably isn't our business.
It was an fda approved drug not an infomercial.
What was the drug then? I bet it wasn't herpes medication. I didn't say prescribed testosterone doesn't exist. I said it doesn't exist in herpes medicine, unless it's a corti steroid. A lot of athetes (especially in mma) are on testosterone replacement therapy, but there levels don't get that high and it has be in the forefront ahead of time by the commission.
I dont know what it was and neither do you. If he had a bad outbreak of the herp who's to say he didn't get a strong injection to take care of it so he could play. I'm done arguing about the situation because no matter how you slice it baseball takes another hit.
Because that's not how it works. I do know that you're using the herpes medicine excuse based on information his people leaked, not an actual argument he's presented. Now we'll see what he says this afternoon, maybe he says that.
It's only a hit to baseball if you don't accept that it happens regularly in all sports. I don't care how big and strong Laron Landry was at LSU, that's not natural. And he's tested regularly.
I do agree with you 100% that it's ridiculous that baseball players are crucified while everyone else is at least as bad if not worse. The nfl is a joke.
I don't know that any of the governing bodies are really a joke though. Users and their chemists are that far ahead of the testing.
I just think in Braun's case specifically people will look at how he got off, and that makes his situation worse. And more stuff will trickle out, starting with Braun's comments today.
Millions of dollars are at stake, you do what you do to remain in the game. The broad brush isn't fair, but it is what it is.
After watching his press conference, how can you not believe him. What a class act.
Does he address the elevated test specifically?
I got one person afraid of discussion
He did come off really well today. It'll be interesting to see what comes out in the following days.
Nope...Was great at Miami, was great at Millwaukee, and will continue to be great...Always had incredible wrists...Great great player and deserved of every accomplishment he gets...
