Has a list of Contenders and says this about the Gamecocks:
The other interesting price from the second-tier teams is South Carolina at 46:1. The Gamecocks are virtually co-favorites with Georgia in the SEC East, yet Georgia's futures prices are a lot shorter than Carolina's. This is the best Gamecocks team in decades, one that boasts a championship combination of coaching, leadership and playmakers. Marcus Lattimore (who can be found at the not-bad price of 15:1 to win the Heisman) is healthy again and ready to dominate.
Second tier teams? Whose on the first tier....the Packers?
USC Trojans: 7 to 2 odds
LSU Tigers: 11 to 2
Alabama Crimson Tide: 6 to 1
Florida State Seminoles: 6 to 1
Oklahoma Sooners: 10 to 1
Oregon Ducks: 12 to 1
Georgia Bulldogs: 16 to 1
Do not get the FSU odds at all, I also think SoCal is high considering the limits in terms of scholarships. They have depth issues, losing Barkley to injury would be devastating. The same could be said for a few other positions. They have top end 1st team talent, but no experience behind it.
Socal hasn't been hit with the scholly limit yet. It starts this year because they appealled and got it postponed until now.
Thanks, but with us in the top 10 I'd think we'd at least be considered a contender and not a "second tier" school.
I get the USC hype. There's a good chance they'll go undefeated and a good chance that both, LSU and Alabama, lose a game. If another team, say FSU, goes undefeated, you know good and well those two will be in the championship game.
I personally don't think USC or FSU are THAT good, but their schedules are cakewalks (PAC-12 and ACC), while LSU, Alabama, Arkansas and South Carolina's are tough as hell, and UGA's is easy but tougher than USC and FSU.
You can't see! I can't see! All that matters is can the f*&%ing horse see! That's a raid!
Many are picking us in the overrated category, NOT because of a lack of talent or even having that many ?s, but solely based on the schedule we have to play. The guys in vegas are talking under 8.5 wins for us because of it. As we know, Oct in itself is a brutal month for us. Right now, vegas has us as dogs in 3 of those 4 Oct games, +11.5 @LSU, +2 vs UGA, and +5 @Fla. Take it for what its worth, but if we played the schedule UGA does, we would be considered "first tier" with everything riding on what is essentially being considerd a toss up game against them.

Who has us at 46:1? I just got back from Vegas and put a little action on us at 30:1.
