Dj is about the most sure tackler we have. Even when he doesn't wrap up he gets them down.
I am not dismissing Clowney at all, but Lawing has said on more than one occasion that DT grades out better than any of our linemen. I'm sure Clowney probably misses an assignment or two throughout the game that Lawing would be upset about.
I know DT is not as good as Clowney. I also think that DT is getting undervalued more as the season goes forward. If they thought someone could do better than he is, he would not be starting. Taylor has been outstanding for us throughout his career. He is a senior approaching his last game. We should be celebrating his great career.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
Nobody ever said DT should not be starting. You implied Brad Lawing would say DT has been our best DL this year which is pretty laughable considering he plays on a DL with Clowney. Grading out the best and being the best player are two different things entirely. If he and Clowney were up for the same spot I can guarantee you he would not be starting.
"They've just discovered a new use for sheep over there at Clemson... wool." - Lewis Grizzard
Come on man. Clowney is the best DL we have period.
