Will they finally rise up for a big game with palyoff implications or fold like a cheap suit today.. I am a Falcons fan but this is a perfect opportunity to address one of the most curious phenomena in football: the historic struggles of "The Dome" teams in playoff type games.
I'm a big falcons fan too, but I just don't think this is a great team. I think they played a really weak schedule, got off to a hot start like they do every season, and fade in December. It baffles me just like everyone else but I don't see anything different this year. Hope I am wrong though!!
New Orleans doesn't struggle in their "Dome" come playoff time. Hell they even won a NFC Title game in their house
I think the Falcons win today and I think they make it to the NFC championship game and lose in a close game.
I think the team will go as far as Matt Ryan will take them. I also think the defense as improved greatly this year.
The Falcons are a very good team, but I don't think there are any great teams in the NFL this year. The Falcons would win most of the time at home against another very good team, and they would lose on the road most of the time against a very good team. Obviously, they could also slip up against a putrid sack of feces like the Panthers, which you saw last week on the road.
Let me also take one moment to thank the NFL, Fox, and my local Fox affiliate for maintaining their antiquated system of territory-based telecasts on Sundays. Thank you for making sure that most Sundays, my only option in the NFC is a freaking Panthers game, even when they are worthless and the Falcons are playing the Giants. Thanks again. If both networks could have a double header, or if local affiliates could opt out of showing worthless crap teams, this wouldn't be a problem. Seems like for the cash I shell out to Time Warner cable, I could watch whatever freaking game I want to watch.
Off to a great start. Up 14-0. Hope this continues
It does seem that the NFL would give more options. I think I read somewhere that the NFL Sunday ticket package is up for bid soon. Will be interesting to see who gets that.

Got to actually win a playoff game before they can do any talking.
Very true. I think they'll break that streak this year especially if they can get home field advantage.
Better hope they don't end up playing Green Bay
LOL. Yep that last playoff matchup with them didn't go so well at all. Rodgers put on a clinic.
Maybe they will draw my Cowboys. They have a worse playoff streak than the Falcons. Of course the Cowboys just making the playoffs may need a miracle.
Well you are getting some help right now with the Giants losing.
True but I've got Romo playing later. Lol. Does help though.
you have to get nfl sunday ticket for that. its high, but life is short. i get it every year. heck some people spend that much in a bar on a friday night.
Sometimes wisdom outweighs wealth. I have been a subscriber every year since it's inception. With that said it was fun to watch the Falcons lay down an ass whooping today. Well see how the playoffs go...
Not the playoffs, obviously, but 34-0 over the Giants is a pretty strong statement. Go Falcons!
I used to get the MLB Extra Innings package so I could watch a friend of mine play out west and enjoy other late night games when I had babies up through the night. It was fun but not worth the money. I am not a big enough NFL fan to pay the fee for Sunday Ticket.
Well, I'd say the Falcons proved a point today.
Still ticked at what happened last week.
Buy NFL Sunday ticket. Best thing ever.
Fomerly known as Garnet&BlackAttack.
the will finish out the season strong .... maybe one loss. But then will lose in the first round of the playoffs per usual
