I know hes turned down a ton of college gigs but Gruden has never turned down ND. His Dad coached there and I could see him trying to get involved here. Not a total rebuild.
"People always ask me if I wish I were bigger. I tell them no. I always wanted to be a miniature badass." Dustin Pedroia
Only timing I've seen is Kelly interviewed and likely as a ploy to get a raise/extension.
Who says Kelly is actually leaving ND?
You can't see! I can't see! All that matters is can the f*&%ing horse see! That's a raid!
He has also never turned down The Dayton Flyers and he went there so theres that...... guys leave it alone Gruden aint coming back especially to the college ranks. Hes got an awesome gig right now that I am sure is paying him tons of money (reportedly $4 million) with very little stress.
I feel the same way. If you're Gruden, why in the world would you become a college coach? You work long hours. You have to suck up to 17 year old prima donnas and 50 year old blow hard boosters.
If you go to the NFL you have to work insane hours and deal with the massive egos that come with NFL players/owners and GM's.
Or you could just stay put. Hang with Tirico and talk football at all the big games and get paid a fortune to do it. That said, guys like Gruden are hyper-competitive, extreme type A's. They crave the challenge. They thrive on the pressure. So it's possible that he might get tired of just talking football. But if I'm him....no way.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
Two grand boys, Two state championships. 5-peat USC
I really like that guy and he actually makes me kinda like ND
The real question is
Where does Mooney Player fit in to all this?

You do realize he basically killed a student, right?
They're saying Kelly had "productive" talks with the eagles. I think he might be ruining his chances at an NFL gig by being in Turks and Caicos for the next week or so. The browns moved today and others will probably follow suit soon. ND is starting to steal some recruits from the South, so I hope he's gone soon(Urban too). They seem to be among the only Northern Coaches to get it, or the only two with the ability to sell going up to that god-forsaken wasteland known as the Midwest.
Awesome comment. Well played sir.
