Just watched the E60 on the Auburn drug problem/armed robbery case, Chizik is a scumbag, that is all
I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass, and I am all out of bubble gum.
You mean this guy?

The NCAA ruling that allowed Cam to play in spite of his dad's action gave him the NCAA championship.
He will go down as the biggest fraud to ever win a college football national championship.
When you think about it, it was a 15 million dollar decision. We weren't going to the title game if we won. That's the payout difference between the sugar bowl and BCS title game. Heck even though we lost we got a nice check for getting our face kicked in.
my foil hat might be a little tight but I've always thought it was shady dealings that day. Oh well.

**** I'm not an insider, I just live here ****
there were some shady goings ons. how he was ruled ineligible after the regular season b/c of stuff that happened before the season but wasn't ineligible for the entire season is a joke not to mention the NCAA reinstating him in less than 24hrs.
As shady as tosu getting to punish players AFTER their bowl game. Most of which were done by then
''fair is not getting them same as everybody else, fair is getting what you need to succeed."
With the present leadership of the NCAA what else would you expect. There is absolutely no integrity in the NCAA and all previous decisions by that organization illustrate that very clearly. As SOS would say, it is what it is. So, let's move on and hope for new NCAA leadership with integrity and consistency in the future.
while agreeing that the guy is a total waste, who was it that hired the dude? and, since the whole story began to seep out, the auburn community fully backed said dude, defending him to the end of the line
only when he lost some games did they get upset. my case is that auburn football in general is habituated by scumbags. the state of Alabama clearly values football over any moral queasiness. just win baby & there are no consequences.
lose, then they get all ticked at you. the administration the fans the whole ball of wax- its slimy as it gets.
When I was younger, I had a bumper sticker that said, "If I owned Hell & Clemson, I would rent out Clemson and live in Hell"
Oh what I'd do to be privy to some info like you insiders are. Just a fly on the wall to know what really happened.
"If you ain't cheatin', you ain't tryin'."
Scumbag is generous. He should be on dancing with the stars with how well he two stepped around all those questions.
Why else would Allbarn hire a 5-19 career head coach? They knew good and well he would be on board for the scumbaggery that would ensue.
And example 347 why college football coaches who purport religious beliefs relative to freakin football tend to be shady characters.
Disclaimer: not deriding religion. Our coach is a preacher's kid, but you only hear about his religion through 2nd hand info.

If you ever visit the Auburn/Opelika airport you will then understand how much they love football. I recently went on a business trip there and the airport was just for Auburn (I have never seen that, it that common?). They had multiple Auburn planes and the small terminal was decked out in Tiger stuff. Our pilot just happened to graduate from Auburn. When he landed he pointed to one of the planes and said, "that is the plane we use to buy all of our recruits."
The obsession is pitiful. I love Gamecock football but I refuse to define my life by it.
I wonder if he is still chewing that gum
I think it was some sort of SEC media thing going on down in Mobile right before the season this past year and espn had some sort of booth set up on the beach and they had about 4 old SEC coaches come in to talk about things. One of those guys was Pat Dye and he pretty much came and said that Cam Newton was the only reason for Auburn winning the Natty. Really sounded like a shot at Cheezdik at the time.
He's got some good competition.
Up-vote for the Leon Phelps sig.
And why can't they talk about it now that its over. I'm guessing b/c its mostly rumor and innuendo, but anyone with half a brain has an idea what went on that year and how Auburn "won" their natty.
