AJ should have never acted like that. (especially up 4 TDs). Stupid.
That was the most exciting exchange tonight
They are roommates. Both said afterwards it wasn't a big deal.
and Barrett said he was right, lol
Yeah, that was funny.
Looked like a big deal to me. I'd hate to see our guys act like that.

It was stupid but not anything to harp on. It happens on the sidelines a lot in football but rarely out on the field with an audience.
Then you don't watch much football.
McCarron should never try to embarass one of his OL like that. Deserved to get pushed.
McCarron wasn't trying to embarass him. They are roommates. They hugged multiple times afterwards. There is quite literally nothing to see here.
Not !!!!! That team belongs to McCarron....He is the field GENERAL....Probably over did it I will agree but the OL should not over step his place in the food chain.....
You never make your line look bad when they block for you. I don't mind the excitement aj had but you can't make him look dumb. Jones let him know that and that was the end of it. Who cares how much they were up. Saban has tought them to be perfect which both players were trying to do.
Agree with this...5th year senior...anchor of the line...last thing in world you'd ever do is to try and show him up.
I don't mind the sequence at all...understand heat of the moment ect...but I'm glad Jones let him know it wasn't cool.
What do you know about offensive lines? You have not seen one at Clempsin in years. Now, go back to your own site and relish your Chic-fil-a National Championship.
Post of the year so far. I can't stop laughing...
A QB should never mess with his O-Linemen
They will make you pay
Played OL and brother coaches it. Yall's OL is awesome, no doubt.

Doesn't have to be awesome to beat your Tater D. They could have lined up backwards on the line of scrimmage and still outgained your sorry arses.
Hopefully our Gamecocks have the same desire to execute every single play and playcall perfectly, regardless of the score and/or opponent. This is why Alabama is the best team in college football right now.
Giving my opinions on Gamecocks message boards since 2002.
Me too. I don't know exactly why, but AJ gets on my nerves. Besides him getting on my nerves, he should not get on any of his OL like he did on a big stage like that. OL get none of the prestige from fans, but do all the dirty work. A QB should never show out his OL like that, and I absolutely think Jones was OK for shoving him. OL's jobs are to protect the QB so he can stay pretty and get all the girls. OL's never get noticed unless they screw up. McCarron should thank those dudes every second of the day. I don't think he even got touched by a ND player last night. He doesn't know how easy that OL makes his job. Jones should have punched him in the face, imo.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
This guy nailed it.
This. Roomies or not, you don't embarrass the guys who got you there on National TV. Give it to him on the sideline or the locker room. Not on the field. And the fact that the Center ended up being "right" on the call, makes AJ look even more foolish.
I love it that Jones said after the game, that he (Jones himself) was right!! That's awesome
AJ acted like a spoiled brat. Given that he was on the verge of a national championship, it appears that the boy could not see the big picture. Jones's soft push was justified.
Really tasteless. Definitely a character flaw even with his HOT girlfriend. I thought Herbie and Brent were going to go ape.
