Can I ask a question in general here?
Why is it that all the articles regarding Golson have to come through Walt Wilson? For me at least, that's where all the confusion comes from. Wilson seems to say one thing, and yet Golson goes and does something else (usually completely opposite what Wilson tells the media).
Is Golson really difficult to do an interview with to set the record straight? I just can't recall ever seeing so many articles on a prospect where a coach speaks for him.
First, if our coaches have evaluated him (which they obviously have, probably several times) and want him, then we are too full of ourselves to question that.
Second, I agree that his coach talks far too often for the kid. In fact, I think that has been a big part of the problem and would like to know why Golson and Wilson have adopted that strategy. It seems like that strategy would give Golson the most "wiggle room" on his side of the recruitment, but it sure leads to confusion and miscommunication.
If the kid can stay eligible and out of jail, and the coaches think he can contribute, why in the world would we not want him?
What are you basing we are chasing him on? His HS coach contacted Bubba to tell him Golson was interested in opening it back up. The kid is a player. We need LB's and he is a home state kid. As long as he can get his grades right why in the world wouldn't we want an experienced quality LB...
JB, maybe you can answer mine and Swimcock's question above since you seem to know a little bit about this situation.
Why is Walt Wilson such a mouthpiece for Golson? Can Golson not speak for himself? What is the deal here??
