I've never found that to be true.
It takes about the same time in basketball as other sports.
In all sports there is an elite player accelerant, assuming you already had a decent core.
But a bad team with one good player is a pretty classic bad basketball team.
Also, there were two other 1st team SEC guards on that team, plus a big that made an NBA roster.
We saw what bj could do on his own. He was 8-21. A classically bad basketball team.
Would be nice, but I wouldn't count on it. Our schedule is really weak this year to the extent that mizzou is the first team we've played that is likely to make the tourney.
Otherwise, We've lost to the bottom dwellers of the sec, not to mention elon.
I expect to be better next year, and hope we see more wins (against better sked) but NCAA seems a bridge too far.
When the ball comes off of Smith's hand I just know that it's not going in. I like him as a passer and that's about it.
