Looks like Dabo and the boys beat out the g cocks on all 3 sites yesterday. USC is the bitch of the sec once again
• Ten schools have been ranked in the top 20 of the ESPN.com recruiting rankings five years in a row. The list includes Clemson, LSU, Alabama, Texas, Southern California, Florida, Georgia, Florida State, Ohio State and Oklahoma. Dabo Swinney joins Les Miles (LSU), Nick Saban (Alabama), Mack Brown (Texas), Mark Richt (Georgia) and Bob Stoops (Oklahoma) as the only coaches in the nation to have five consecutive top 20 recruiting rankings according to ESPN.com.
Haha this is great I guess when you are the second best team in your state you have to find something to be excited about, we will see you in the Brice in November and then we will see who is the...., well I'm classy enough not to use vulgar language on a family friendly message board.
''fair is not getting them same as everybody else, fair is getting what you need to succeed."
Of those teams, only 1 has finished in top 10 of both polls the last 2 years and only 1 has won 11 games the lst two years, Alabama. Stanford, Oregon and the Gamecocks say keep celebrating in February and we will keep celebrating in November and January.
If we are the bitch what does that make them out to be?? Wow.....
Phil on his radio show the other day broke something down I found interesting (and made me look at it differently). He looked at the final 2010 team recruiting rankings and said those guys would have been redshirt sophomores or juniors this past season. He looked at the top 15 or so classes in recruiting for that time period and then gave their final standing in the poll after the 2012 season. It really opened my eyes......
#1 USC 2012 final standing: Not ranked
#2 Florida 2012 final standing: #9
#3 Texas 2012 final standing: #19
#4 Auburn 2012 final standing: Not ranked
#5 Bama 2012 final standing: #1
#6 LSU 2012 final standing: #14
#7 Oklahoma 2012 final standing: #15
#8 UCLA 2012 final standing: Not ranked
#9 Tennessee 2012 final standing: Not ranked
#10 FSU 2012 final standing: #10
They also beat the heck out of us in # of Twilight posters at the office.
Recruiting rankings are what they are. There are a LOT of variables involved in winning. We get talented guys that fit our needs, and fit what we do. We also get guys with GREAT attitudes and work ethics. Our coach is also one of the best ever at developing players and putting them in positions to be successful. That is a winning formula.
Some fans celebrate on signing day, some celebrate on gamedays. I prefer the latter.
klimpsom fans have to get excited about something. They sign a bunch of head cases every year who are cancers in the locker room, and complainers during workouts and conditioning. They got one of the biggest head cases in this year's class in Mackenzie Alexander. I'll be shocked if he even makes it to the fall. He is a cancer with a capital 'C'. You can bank on that.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
Looks to me like this is the best reason I could think of to fire abo if I was a tater fan. You out recruited your rival five years running and haven't beaten on the playing field any of those years. Can't remember them even being within one score in the fourth quarter during the current streak. They better be thanking their lucky stars they are in the sucky ACC.
The only reason that the taters are ranked higher in 2013 is that they signed 2 more players. Our average ranking per player was higher, plus we filled our needs instead of focusing on skill players with higher rankings like 9 DBs.
Dude. We all know the only thing standing between the Taters and another championship is the strength coach. Dabo is the best recruiter, best Christian, best sleeping buddy for Mom, etc., in the whole wide world of college football.
Little hand says it's time to rock and roll.
It is hilarious how they think that the difference is their strength coach. Getting stronger and in better shape and all that helps a lot, but strong does not equal good football player. They have a good strength program, I'm sure. They just have a bunch of selfish headcases that do not function in a team environment very well. We have a better football team, and would if we traded strength coaches.
I will say that I would not trade Connolly for anyone, but he just improves what we have, which is a bunch of hard working, team first, talented and skilled football players.
