For those that don't know he's on 104.9 in the upstate 3-7 everyday. He said he absolutely should play next year or he wouldn't be #1 pick. He said he needs to get bigger and stronger for the players he'll face in the NFL. He also mentioned he needs to improve against the run. I have to agree there is ALWAYS room for improvement no matter who you are. He's a freakin beast, but looking back against LSU they really schemed well and ran right towards his side many times gaining big yardage. You sit out a year and you'll get rusty regardless of how much you workout. Take golf for example...you think the best golfers could hit range balls for a year and then go into a major tournament and dominate? As much as we love him I expect a bigger year his junior year based on another year in the weight room, film room, game experience, etc.
Heard that...he is absolutely correct.
Walt's been pretty upbeat on us for the last few years; and ya' know that he
catches flak from the Oranges..
If Clowney sat out, he would be forgotten, and many players would have big years. Clowney would fall to the 2nd round if he sat out. I cannot believe how dumb some people are by perpetuating this
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
Second round? Get real.
George Strait-Entertainer of a Lifetime
Well, I don't think he would be forgotten and fall to the 2nd round, but he does need to con't to work on his game. The LTs from TN and MI played well against him. He needs to get bigger, stronger and faster. He needs to con't to work on his technique. He is the best end in college, no doubt. But he can and will be better after this year.
Are any of the clem stations on iheart radio?
If Clowney decided to sit out in 2013, he would still end up as a top 5 pick.
