I'm curious to why he was really benched? IMO he was our best DB majority of the year so what was the reason?
Spurrier...I appreciate him plenty
he had the bad game against UT but I thought he played well the rest of the games of the year.
I thought he wasn't playing well at the end of the year as evidenced by the Tennessee game. But more than that, the return of Auguste hurt him. Auguste proved himself to be the better CB at the end of the year. That's nothing to be ashamed of, though. Akeem has played very well at CB. Much better than at S over his career from what I've seen.
Wealth is the product of man's capacity to think.
There are no evil thoughts except one: The refusal to think.
"You’re either a block-gobbler, a farmer, or you’re a damn hunter and playmaker."
Legree had the bad game against UT, but the benching seemed to help get him more focused. Auguste's return seemed to take some pressure off as well.
When healthy, Akeem is a stud.
hopefully Legree puts in alot of hard work over the spring and summer and comes back faster and more focused....we're gonna need him in 2013
Auguste was the original starter before he got hurt. He simply assumed his starter role when he got completely healthy. A healthy 6th year senior Auguste > rs junior Legree in 2012. Nothing changed except his health. It's not a negative for Legree; it's simply a positive for the team that Auguste was able to come back and contribute. Legree will be a huge contributor next year, hopefully as an effective starter for the entire year.
