Sounds to me like someone is still upset about the PSLs.

Johnny Football has defeated far tougher Hymans than Eric.

What is really obvious is that you have some kind of personal grudge with him.
Hyman did some good things while he was here. He was undoubtedly the benefactor of Spurrier being the coach of the football program. Hyman was not popular among those he worked with, especially the administrative assistants and such who worked in the athletic dept. I know this firsthand. Hyman is an egomaniac, and no matter how much you think he did while he was here, we are better off now. He was the AD while we had the best football and baseball coach in our history. How much credit he gets for that is debatable. He also hired the guy who destroyed USC basketball. Tanner is cleaning up more than one of his messes right now, trust me on that.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
Definitely!!! The best!
Thanks for the SEC contract too! And Bama, RTR!!!!
Sounds like Johnny is heading down a dangerous path. Hyman is right to rein him in NOW. Mr. Football is the face of AtM athletics and underage drinking and gambling in public aren't smart given his history.
No doubt. Telling national media you called the Heisman winner's mommy and daddy to your office is unnecessary.
Kind of like when he told them he was mad at Garcia for breaking no laws or team rules in a special interview.
And hired the guy that will resurrect USC basketball. Convenient point to omit.
He did benefit from Tanner and Spurrier, but he also had a vision and made tough and unpopular decisions to make that vision begin to come to fruition.
I don't dispute the egomaniac part at all. I don't dispute many didn't like him. I think he needed that meeting with Manziel, but should also have never let it get public.
That said, we have he best stable of coaches we've ever had in the four primary sports (or did before Tanner took Ad role. now maybe 2nd best). Two hired by other. Two hired by Hyman.
It doesn't have to be an either/or scenario. It actually is possible to do some good and some bad. No reason to kill him for Horn and not praise him for Martin.
All I have to say is, you guys go ahead and get your excuses ready for the success Texas A&M is going to experience over the next 5-10 years. Hyman was National AD of the Year at TCU, brought USC athletics out of the 1950's and paved the way for athletic success for the foreseeable future. I guess that's not good enough for some of you.
Is anyone jealous that TA&M has Hyman and we are left with Tanner?
not a chance. good riddance! Tanner would be looking for a "better" job every year. He's happy to be in Columbia.
Very level headed approach IMO. He wasn't perfect. He made mistakes. But overall we are Better for having had Eric Hyman as our AD.
Same goes for Mike McGee. He had flaws. He failed to accomplish certain goals. He failed to act on certain things that needed to be addressed. But he also inherited a dipshit athletics department and left it as at least a viable SEC entity, albeit one with much work still to be done.
Yet to this day some despise him. It's the common refrain. Let us not look to the future or appreciate the present without first pausing to lift a leg on the past.
It's petty. It's boorish and it's the kind of simpleton tripe I hope I never succumb to.

The only criticism I have of Hyman was tbat everything with him became a crisis. It is possi le and even preferable if resposibilities are carried out in as low key a manner as possible. I do think there was some 'Mayberry RFD' self promotion about him.
Hey everbody look at me....I am doing the right thing. I have tons of itegrity...Don't yall agree.
