Good God the kid is something like sixteen and three as a starter. Give him a break. Have you taken a liik at what he us throwing to and the guys trying to orotect him.
If he shows up for LSU or UF, we are in the national championship hunt
Oh you mean like Roland's redshirt this year? Love spurrier but outside of Marcus he doesn't fully commit to freshmen and burns rs seasons instead of giving them a true opportunity. Did the same for half the yr w Alshon.
Couldnt the same could be said for Manziel
Probably. If this was the Aggie board I'm sure that would be a relevant point to make.
Spurrier...I appreciate him plenty
Manziel will be in NY for the Heisman ceremony as a freshman
Ok but does that change what I said? He's had and will have bad games, all QBs do
I could live under the ceiling Shaw forces us to.

**** I'm not an insider, I just live here ****
Has Manziel improved as the year has gone on? Has Shaw?
I don't think you get it. Is Shaw improving?
Our wide receivers are not getting open quick enough. We need to use Buster and Adams more on quick slants and Shaw should roll out more to his short right to better see the field. Receivers are the biggest problems though, imo.
Not true actually it's the opposite. Shaw is so slow to decide that the wr's are done with their breaks and db's can recover. Our advantage is early in the routes as ace and Bruce make good cuts. Shaw waits too long. The come back routes yesterday are perfect proof. Keep blaming everyone else but the issue is QB. He ran into pressure and missed wide open wr's for most of the day.
Good qb's let the ball fly as the cut is being made so it arrives on time and guys can make YAC, shaw's throws are almost always late and his accuracy is still a question to me if the target isn't stationary like with the RB and te throws where he makes his living.
This isn't the case. Watch a replay and try to see open receivers when he runs. They are everywhere
And if he isn't our QB we are looking to become bowl eligible.. I am totally amazed that this kid gets so much grief. Dissing him like some do is simply questioning HBC and why would anyone who really Loves the gamecocks be complaining. Do any of you naysayers not listen to the HBC on a weekly basis talking about the next first we are gonna do. At least for this week can we all be Thankful. GEESH !!!!
SO Lil Jerry I am curious to what you would do if yoiu were in the HBC's shoes?
Spurrier benched him. He's the best we've got. What is he supposed to do?
Actually recruit good QBs. Pretty simple concept
So playing in the best conference in the country and dominating the east and clemson the entire time he has been our QB doesnt make Shaw a good QB. You are just trying to stir the pot. You cant possibly really believe what you are saying...
Shaw isn't going to win us an SEC Championship, or National Championship, unless he can develop downfield vision and learn to release the ball.
You certainly can't believe that he is better than half the qbs in our league. in fact, he might be only better than kentucky's in the east.
I think he has proven that head to head he is better than Murray, Bray, Boyd, and several more. There is only one team in the country that has zero losses. But Golson isn't the best QB in the country by far... And we do have a chance to win the SEC and National Championship with Shaw at QB. Just curious of your opinion on this. If we had played Florida or LSU at home do you think we would have beaten either one of them? Or if we had played Ole Miss instead of LSU do you think we would have only one loss?
I'm not going to debate this with you, because you've historically shown an inability to form rational thoughts. Bray and Murray are projected to be in the top 6 qbs drafted. Shaw won't be drafted unless he dramatically improves next year.
And I appreciate the fairytale/la-la land scenario you are trying to create, unfortunately I tend to deal with reality.

Surely you're not implying that HBC had a hand in evaluating and choosing to offer CS, are you?
