We had just gotten done with some dinner and wanted to show the nephew a cool view of atl, so we took him to the Mariott where the chick fil a bowl teams are staying. The top was 41 stories high.
Got into the elevator and a guy in all Clemson gear walks in behind me, ACC championship ring on a chain and all. I ask him his name and he responds "Tig Willard". we small talk for a few moments as the doors close. So once the elevator doors are shut and we are moving I ask the obvious question: "So...how about them Gamecocks?" And opened my jacket to reveal my gamecock polo.
He gave a grunt, turned toward the glass and watched out the elevator for the next 38 floors, in total silence.
Too long; didn't read version: I trolled Clemson on an elevator.
I know it's too late, but you should have just hit the "27" and "17" floor buttons when you first got on. That would have been classic.
Not enough upvotes for this
As I recall, Willard played a great game against us. What is wrong with complimenting him on the game? It is both a classy thing to do and a reminder of the game.
The fact that you are proud of rubbing a player's nose in the defeat says more about you than him.
Have you no decency, man!
Saying "how bout those Gamecocks" is not rubbing someone's nose in anything. Nor does it show a lack if class.
These would be actually accurate adjectives to describe your response: Absurd. Whiny. Melodramatic. Self-righteous.

At least Tig had something to grunt about. He played his ass off that game while the rest of his team sucked it up.
You can't see! I can't see! All that matters is can the f*&%ing horse see! That's a raid!
I'm taking a tig willard.
First off this didn't happen.
Secondly, you wear a Gamecock polo to dinner? What a loser.
Thirdly, trespassing is a serious offense. I suggest you book a room if you plan to use a hotels amenities.
Lastly, you should have punted him in the balls then jumped out of the elevator through the glass.
People here where I live wear Gamecock attire nearly everywhere, though the logo may be small and subtle. As a woman, I can wear the colors and be fashionable without sporting a logo.
I worked in middle-management for Holiday Inns for many years. Hotel property is open to the public, and they actually want people who are not guests to come to the bars and restaurants. That's why they advertise in local papers. It is not trespassing. Swimming in the pool would be viewed differently, but it is unlikely that a non-guest would be thrown out unless he caused a disturbance.
Be sure and wipe your Dabo!
I remember an article in The State, where they were talking about how tough he was, because he cut 12 pounds in 3 days for a wrestling match one time. He was talking about the mental strength it takes to do that.
Not bragging, but I, at 35 yrs old, cut 15 lbs in a little over 2 days, for a grappling tourney a couple of yrs ago. Not that big of a deal. Tig, and his tigers are soft.
Ally will beat the crap out of Uga.
I wish you'd shut up and grow a pair. Terrible post IMO.
